The ruggedly beautiful Lands End headland is the most westerly point in England and home to a popular tourist attraction of the same name (www.landsend-landmark.co.uk)
Highlights include the spooky Doctor Who exhibition, Coast (an interactive tie-in with the BBC series) and of course the famous sign-post photo-op.
The themed elements close during winter, but the highly rated hotel & restaurant, with its fantastic views of Longships Lighthouse, remain open year-round.

Although there is more than enough to keep visitors of any age occupied for several hours, there are many other wonderful things to see and do in the surrounding area.
For the intrepid walker, enchanting coves even more beautiful than Lands End lie a few miles to the south.
And just to the north is Sennen Cove, with its stunningly beautiful white sand beach, quaint harbour, surf schools and numerous cafes & gift shops.
Lands End is about a 40 min. drive from Sandbank Holidays, but the mysterious, unspoilt beauty of the area is well worth the trip.
